Note: Crave Online's film channel editor (and co-host of The B-Movies Podcast), William Bibbiani returns (check out all past appearances on the podcast here) to help me defend against the recent crop of cinematic backpeddling directed at the first installment of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films. We discuss the climate regarding comic book movies at the time, the wholesome versus edgy comparisons in tone to this and others in the genre and we explore some of the deeper psychology of Peter Parker. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the film on your DVD.
