On June 13th, 2009, the writer and director of
Night of the Creeps
appeared with his cast members at
The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin,
Texas before a crowded audience of nostalgic fans. Of course, the
folks in the sold-out theater were "screamin' like banshees". In
conjunction with
Red
Shirt Pictures and Sony Home Entertainment, the filmmakers were
there to present the newly remastered and restored Director's Cut
of the 80s' horror classic, in preparation for the long-awaited DVD
release. After a screening of the film, a Q&A session took
place.
Lisa
Tobias and I were in the audience, and Lisa managed to record
the festivities, now posted here for all to enjoy.
Thanks goes out to editing wizard, Stuart Duncan for doing such a
fantastic job on cleaning up the audio quality. Thanks also to my
dear friend, Lisa for making my attendance possible and for
basically being made of awesome. I miss you.
Special thanks goes out to
Eric
"Quint" Vespe,
Michael Felsher,
Fred Dekker,
Jason Lively,
Steve Marshall,
Jill Whitlow,
Tom Atkins and
everyone at The Alamo Drafthouse for their part in such an amazing
evening. I'll never forget it!
Note: Alcohol was being served at this event, so the crowd was very
loose and rowdy. Fair warning for those easily offended, this
podcast does contain some explicit language.

film, please check out my guest appearance in episode 70 of
