Drive involves an assortment of characters competing in an illegal, cross-country road race, with a prize of $32,000,000 rumored to be at the finish line. Some people have been coerced into joining The Race, while others have sought it out. Some people are going after the money, while others are trying to save their loved ones.

It's a fun and exciting mystery from executive producers Ben Queen (Century City) and Tim Minear (Angel, Wonderfalls, Firefly, The Inside), currently airing on the Fox Network.... Oh, no wait. I'm sorry, it's been canceled. The series has only produced 6 episodes, and thanks to MySpace and their Fox On Demand page, we may get to see them all. Using the site's streaming video, I jump right in for my commentary on the first episode, The Starting Line. No preemptive countdown here. That means the second you start the show, you can start the podcast.

If we get a DVD set for Drive, I can do a proper commentary later down the road. For now, you'll have to settle for these on-the-fly recordings. So, strap in, adjust your mirrors and put your hands at 10 and 2 as I discuss the turbulent nature of network television and the importance of story versus character progression.
